Hello, my name is Tom Pham and I am the Common Core Demonstration Teacher for High School Chemistry. I have been teaching for 17 years. Currently, I am teaching MYP/IB Chemistry at Cajon High School. I am also a Link Crew Coordinator and part-time lab instructor at Cal State San Bernardino.

Teaching is more than simply demonstrating a certain set of technical skills. It requires command of subject matter and caring deeply about students and their successes. These next few years will see our districts transition into the Common Core State Standards and the Next Generation Science Standards and we will all inevitably encounter some bumps in the road. Let’s take this journey together and work as a team as we face these new and exciting challenges! I am happy to support and help all science teachers with the Common Core and the Next Generation Science Standards.
