Building on an initial investment by San Bernardino County Public Health, First 5 San Bernardino has invested $4 million in funding to support local community efforts through the Healthy Communities Initiative. A Healthy Community promotes a positive physical, social, and economic environment that supports the well-being of its members, and includes healthy schools, walkable communities, transportation options, parks/open space, adequate housing and access to health care.
